The Cancer Society of New Zealand's Daffodil Day symbolises hope for 1 in 3 New Zealanders affected by cancer.
Daffodil Day is Cancer Society’s most important annual fundraiser. The money raised is used to support patients with cancer and their families, fund breakthrough cancer research and help reduce the incidence of cancer for our children and grandchildren.
This year, Daffodil Day is on Friday 31 August, 2018.
Since 1990, this iconic event has inspired people to come together and support the Cancer Society's work. As well as providing an opportunity to raise awareness of cancer in New Zealand.
Your donations will go towards vital scientific research into the causes and treatment of all types of cancer, as well as providing a wide range of support services, education and awareness campaigns / programmes for people affected by cancer in your area.
Whether it's buying daffodils / donating to our street collectors, purchasing our merchandise, or making a donation by text / phone / online, every gift counts.
We are so grateful for the valuable support received from many organisations, groups and people across NZ who donate their time and money as a sign of their commitment to our cause.
And our principal sponsor ANZ for supporting the work we do year after year. For 28 years, ANZ have continually promoted Daffodil Day as an important cancer awareness day around the country and their staff all pull together to fundraise on our behalf too.

How YOU can make a difference this Daffodil Day
There are lots of fun and easy ways your organisation can get involved, and by supporting the Cancer Society, your organisation can make a real impact on the lives of those facing cancer.
Yellow Day
Have a yellow themed dress up day, do a bake sale, host a morning tea or do a raffle to raise money on Daffodil Day.

Give it Up
Choose your vice, whether it's chocolate, video games or something else you enjoy a little too much, and give it up to raise money to support people with cancer.

Jump for Cancer
Is doing a skydive on your bucket list? Tick it off for a good cause! Each person who fundraises over $1,000 gets a free 13,000ft skydive with Skydive Auckland.

How can LifeLot help?
Today 63 New Zealanders will hear the words “you have cancer”. If you or someone you care about has cancer, LifeLot can help. Planning and gathering together all the pieces of your life now will relieve a lot of stress for your loved ones later.
In a medical emergency, a delegate will be able to securely access your Advance Care Plan or Will, and call upon other important documents when they're most needed. A LifeLot account must be transitioned to an "unlocked" state by the LifeLot team before a delegate can access it, and there is strict protocol around this transition.
